1.0     RULES

The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)  as modified by this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions

1.2    Rule 40 is changed as follows: All competitors are required to wear a life jacket or other adequate personal floatation while racing.


2.1 Any person in 110 District III is eligible. All FDs are invited

2.2 An entry fee of $40 will be charged to cover expenses..


3.1  Racing will be held on Saturday, August 29th, and Sunday, August 30th

3.2 Registration will start at the end of the dock at 10 am on Saturday, August 29th

3.3  Depending on the wind and tide, the Warning signal for the first race on Saturday for Dutchmen  is at 11:00 hours, 110s at 11:30, and on Sunday, is at 1200 hours and 12:30 respectively. A skipper’s meeting will be held at 10:30 hours on Saturday, August 29.

3.4  There will be a trophy presentation following the conclusion of racing on Sunday. No races shall be started after 3:00 on Sunday


The Sailing Instructions will be available at registration on Saturday, August 29th. An unofficial copy may be emailed prior to that date.



The intended starting area will be off the IYC pier.


6.1  Scoring will be under RRS Appendix A, low point scoring system.

6.2  Three completed races will constitute a series.

6.3  Seven races are scheduled for the Dutchmen, five for the 110s with four and three respectively on Saturday, and three and two on Sunday.

6.4  If fewer than five races are completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. If 5 or more races are completed, a boat’s series will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score, except that a DSQ cannot be excluded. If seven races and five races are completed and a boat has a DSQ, then the next worse score will be excluded.


Competitors shall participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk  ( see Rule 4, DECISION TO RACE).  The organizing authority does not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with, prior to, during, or after the regatta.

Note: Participants in both classes must be fully rigged for launch before entering the lineup for the hoists, and all trailers must be promptly removed from the launch area. Competitors still rigging their boats while in the hoist lineup will be asked to remove to the back of the line.
